It’s a new year with new information! Find below updated information on becoming a paid caregiver for a friend or family member on ALTCS.*

Step 1: Verify if your loved one is eligible for the ALTCS program.** If you are unsure, fill out our FREE ALTCS Eligibility Questionnaire to see if your loved one may be eligible for the ALTCS program.

Step 2: If your loved one is eligible for ALTCS or already on the ALTCS program, you will need to reach out to a home health care company contracted with ALTCS to discuss their requirements for becoming an employee.

Step 3: Once you are an employee of the home health care company, you can now be paid to provide caregiving services.

Every home health agency that is contracted with ALTCS has a different process and not everyone will allow you to become a paid caregiver, but this will give you the instructions to begin the process because every little bit helps.

If you are not looking to apply for the ALTCS program but would like to have an agreement in place with your loved one to pay you for caregiving services, we encourage you to purchase a Caregiver Agreement for $200.00.

*The instructions above are a short overview on becoming a paid caregiver for your loved one. We do not assist individuals with becoming caregivers. We DO assist individuals apply and maintain eligibility for the ALTCS program.

**If your loved one is not eligible for the ALTCS program, we encourage you to set up an initial consultation with our office to provide an evaluation of what obstacles may be preventing your loved one from becoming eligible.
