ALTCS uses some specific numbers in their community spouse monthly income allowance calculation. The numbers used in the calculation change three times a year. Effective July 1, 2015, the following numbers changed:
$1992.00 Monthly Spousal Need
$ 598.00 30% of the Monthly Spousal Need used in the Excess Shelter Allowance
$ 664.00 Maximum Family Allowance for a Dependent with no income
The other standards used, but changed at different times include:
Effective January of each year and the number for 01/2015
$2981.00 Maximum Minimum Maintenance Needs Allowance
Effective October of each year and the number for 10/2014 – 09/2015
$ 341.00 Standard Utility Allowance
